A few years ago, a friend taught me the custom of burning wishes around the New Year. It works like this: You write 13 wishes for the coming year separately on pieces of paper and burn one every day during the twelve rough nights – unwatched. The universe is then responsible for fulfilling these wishes; But the one wish list that is left over is your responsibility and you can then put all your ambitions on it.
