Argentinian Sebastian Baez, seeded n°6, reached the round of 16 of the Winston-Salem tournament, beating Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan two sets to one (3-6, 6-4, 6- 4) at Winston-Salem, Tuesday night session.
Baez, ranked No. 42 in the ATP, will face the winner of the match between No. 9 seeded Australian Aleksandar Vukic and Frenchman Luca Van Assche in the Round of 16 of the North Carolinian tournament.
In the previous round of the Winston-Salem Open, Galan, 70th in the world at ATP, had largely dominated Radu Albot (6-1, 7-5).
