Washington: Did Arjun Kapoor force Cristiano Ronaldo to take a selfie? This was a question that was raised on social media for the past few days. The reason for this was a tweet that went viral by Cristiano Ronaldo.

A screenshot of Ronaldo’s tweet along with a picture of Cristiano and Arjun Kapoor together was circulated. Cristiano’s tweet that an unknown man entered my dressing room and forced me to take a selfie was circulated along with Arjun Kapoor’s picture.

A fake screenshot circulated on social media

Meanwhile, India Today’s fact check revealed that the fake tweet was created by altering Cristiano’s Twitter handle. India Today adds that this is not the first time that the screenshot has been shared and there was a similar screenshot in 2018 as well.

Ronaldo has not posted any tweets on the date seen in the screenshot. The investigation also revealed that no tweets were deleted that day. Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor and Cristiano Ronaldo were photographed on 16 May 2016 in Russia. This photo was shared by Arjun via Instagram. The world famous bag company American Tourister also tagged Arjun and shared the picture.
