The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued a statement stating: “On 8/11/2023, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in the Burj Hammoud area arrested the citizen (W.W.) for his willingness to use and promote drugs, and seized a quantity of them in his possession.”
She added, “Another patrol from the Directorate in the Burj al-Barajneh area – al-Joura neighborhood arrested the citizen (A.A.) for drug use and promotion, looting by force of arms and shooting, and trading in military weapons.”
He concluded, “The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was launched with the detainees, under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
