BACALAR, QRoo, September 5, 2024.- After a confrontation between armed people and security corporations from the three levels of government, Quintana Roo authorities managed to seize weapons, drugs, and also one person.
The incident occurred in the community of El Gallito, in the municipality of Bacalar, when the agents were carrying out an operation to search for people and were then attacked with bullets by unknown persons who were aboard a white, armored truck.
After the attack, the truck fled into a thicket, where its occupants got out and went into the jungle, but one of them was arrested by the authorities and placed at the disposal of the authorities.
An arsenal of both short and long firearms was secured, as well as useful cartridges and supplied magazines and fragmentation grenades.
The detainee and the seized items were placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities so that the relevant proceedings can be carried out.
