Arturo Zaldívar will present a complaint to initiate a political trial against Norma Piña

Arturo Zaldívar, retired minister, announced that he will request impeachment once morest the President of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Norma Piña, following the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF) began an investigation of the former president of the highest court of justice and former close collaborators for allegedly violating the autonomy and independence of the Judicial Branch of the Federation.

In a press conference, Zaldívar pointed out that the “improper intervention of Norma Piña in the electoral process”, as well as the “factional use” of the Court and the Judiciary, “obliges us to present a complaint to initiate a political trial once morest of the minister president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.”
