August Smisl sits in the spacious office, housed in a penthouse above his fitness temple in Bremen Top Gym, he likes to light a cigar. It’s easy to think regarding life in such a relaxed manner. “When you stand in front of it and look up this mountain, you don’t know how you’re going to do it. But when you know the path you’ve taken, with all its forks, then the journey is understandable, easy to read.” Now it’s not the case that the fit 55-year-old, who is successful both in business and privately, has to take final stock. But August Smisl likes to look back and is happy regarding what he has achieved, and humbly considers himself lucky for the many favorable turns since the beginning of his climbing journey.
