Jakarta: Pakistan drew with defending champions India in the Asia Cup Hockey Tournament. Debutant Karthik Selvam’s goal gave India the lead in the ninth minute of the Pool A match. In the 59th minute, Abdul Rana’s reply came from the neighbors.

India will face Japan on Tuesday. In another match in the pool, Japan defeated hosts Indonesia by nine goals to nil. In Pool B, Malaysia beat Oman 7-0 and Korea beat Bangladesh 6-1.
