Alappuzha യുവാ A young man who came to ask for drinking water took his landlord hostage in Pattappakal and stole money. The incident took place at Muhamma in Alappuzha district. The youth, who was suspected to be from another state, asked for drinking water and entered with money.

The theft took place at Balanandan’s house in Muhamma Lakshmi Sadan. At noon, the young man arrived with two bags in his hand and asked for water. When Balanandan went to the kitchen to fetch water, the thief broke into the house and took Rs 3,500 from his purse.

Seeing this, Balanandan tried to subdue the thief. But the thief locked Balanandan in the room and escaped. Balanandan was rescued by his neighbors who heard his screams. Following the complaint, Muhammed police registered a case and launched an investigation.
