“Aster Volunteers Launches Solar-Powered Mobile Medical Unit in Lebanon for Refugee Healthcare”

Dubai – Aster Volunteers launches mobile medical service in Lebanon. A mobile medical unit with state-of-the-art facilities will arrive in Lebanon in mid-June. The unit will run on solar power.

Through tele-health, people, including Syrian refugees, can connect with professionals for health care. Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of The Big Heart Foundation flagged off the mobile medical unit.

Aster DM Healthcare Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Azad Moopan and President of St. Joseph University (SJU) in the UAE, Eli Yard, participated.

Dr. The Big Heart Foundation and St. Joseph University will cooperate with the project. Elder Azad said. He said the unit will help meet the basic health care needs of the people of Lebanon.
