Carlos José de Jesús Riera Sulbarán, a 30-year-old surgeon, died last night at the Coromoto Hospital in Maracaibo, Zulia state, following suffering burns following an explosion occurred in the kitchen of the apartment where he lived.
The accident occurred seven days ago at his residence, located in the apartment 0207 of a building located in the Caña de Azúcar urbanization of Maracay, Araguareviewed La Patilla.
Research indicates that the doctor, went to turn on his kitchen, there was an explosion, presumably due to the accumulation of gases.
The site was attended by police officers and the fire department, who were responsible for taking the doctor to a hospital.
Carlos Riera was transferred to the Coromoto Hospital in Maracaibo and confined in the Burn Units, where he died.
