At Least 9 Dead After Naxalites Blow Up Police Vehicle In Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur

Tragedy Strikes Chhattisgarh: Nine ⁢security Personnel Killed in Naxal IED Attack

Chhattisgarh ‌witnessed a horrific attack on‌ Monday when Naxalites ​detonated an improvised explosive device⁢ (IED), targeting a vehicle carrying security personnel in Bijapur district. The blast, wich occurred on the Bedre-Kutru ⁤Road, claimed ‌the lives of nine individuals, including‌ eight jawans and the driver.

Returning From Operation

the ⁣tragedy unfolded as two Scorpio vehicles, transporting approximately 20 soldiers returning from an anti-Naxal operation conducted the previous day, were ambushed by the IED. The force of the explosion was devastating, leaving behind horrifying scenes of dismembered bodies. The victims,including eight​ Dantewada DRG jawans,were brought to ⁢the​ District hospital in dantewada.

Nation Mourns, President‍ Expresses Grief

The brutal attack has ⁣sent shockwaves across the nation.‌ President Droupadi Murmu ‌expressed her deepest condolences,⁣ stating, “The Naxalite attack on security forces in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh is condemnable. I express my deepest ‌condolences to the bereaved families of the brave soldiers who made ‌the supreme ‍sacrifice for the security of the country. Our country is persistent⁣ to fully eradicate ⁢Naxalism.”

This attack marks a significant escalation of violence in the region, reminding us of the ongoing challenges faced by ‌security forces in ​combating​ Naxalism.

Union⁢ Home Minister Amit shah ⁣also condemned the⁤ attack and said that the sacrifice⁣ of the soldiers won’t go in vain.

“I am deeply saddened by the news‌ of⁣ the loss of⁣ DRG soldiers in an IED blast in Bijapur (Chhattisgarh). ⁢I ⁣express my ‍deepest condolences to the families of the brave soldiers. It ⁣is impossible to ‍express this grief in words, but I assure you that the sacrifice of our soldiers will not go in ‍vain. We will end Naxalism from the land of India by ⁣march 2026,” he ‌said.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo‍ sai‍ condemned the attack and asserted that​ the government will end Naxalism by‍ 2026. ” Our soldiers are fighting strongly against ‌Naxalism, the Union Home Minister is also determined to end Naxalism by March 2026.⁤ I ⁢am confident that his determination will be ‌fulfilled,” he⁤ told reporters.
