With less than two weeks to go before the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections, scheduled for Sunday, October 2, we remind you of the hours recommended by the National Office for Electoral Processes (ONPE) to vote, according to the last digit of the DNI.
Cledy Gutiérrez, specialist in Electoral Training of the ONPE, explained that the electoral entity has planned these hours, in order to have an orderly day and without crowds. Here we explain what they are:
What time to vote on Sunday, October 2?
The ONPE details that the recommended time segments according to the last digit of the DNI are:
1. If the DNI ends in 1, 2, 3 and 4: It is recommended to go from 7 am to 11 am
2. If the DNI ends in 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0: It is recommended to go from 11 am to 5 pm
3. If the voter is in a risk group: it is recommended to go from 2 pm to 5 pm
In this last group are considered pregnant women, older adults or people with disabilities or other vulnerability. If a person goes to vote at a time other than the recommended one, she will also be able to vote.

To find your polling place assigned by the ONPE, you must follow these steps:
- Enter the ONPE web portal: https://consultaelectoral.onpe.gob.pe/
- Write your ID number.
- Click on “Consult”
How do I know if I am a table member?
The same platform will also tell you if you were drawn to be a regular or alternate table member. Also, the number of your polling station, the order number, and the address of the polling place, as well as a reference to locate the property. Enter here.
Do I need a vaccination card to vote?
ONPE has reported that the health protocol for COVID-19 has been updated for these elections:
- This time The physical or virtual card will not be requested that accredits the vaccination of voters once morest COVID-19.
- Yes, it will be mandatory for the voter and polling station members to use double mask or a KN95 correctly placed.
- Of temperature will not be taken to the voter before entering the polling place, nor will alcohol be poured on their hands. ONPE will place pumps.
- The voters can bring your own blue pen or they can use one of the 3 pens that the table members will have.
- It will be encouraged social distancing of one meter between voters and the capacity will be 50% at the polling places.
- The classrooms where the voting tables will be will be set up alternately.
Other recommendations for voters are: leave the polling place immediately following voting and avoid being accompanied by minors so as not to expose them, except in cases where they have no one to stay with.
