Kyiv (Kyiv)/Moscow – One focus of international mediation efforts in the Ukraine war continues to be the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which is occupied by Russian troops. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron spoke in a telephone call on Friday in favor of an inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA/IAEA). IAEA boss Rafael Grossi declared his willingness to send inspectors “as soon as possible”.
