ATP Masters: Djokovic wins a titanic fight against Medvedev – rts.ch

Novak Djokovic (ATP 8) won a third victory in three games in the finals in Turin. The Serb disposed of Daniil Medvedev (5) 6-3 6-7 7-6 following a splendid 3:10 fight.

Novak Djokovic dug deep into his physical and mental resources to beat Daniil Medvedev. This burst of energy is all the more astonishing as the Serb was assured of his place in the last four even before playing the match, thanks to his two victories once morest Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev. The latter compete from 9 p.m. to clinch 2nd place in the qualifying group for the semi-finals.

Djokovic in search of a 6th title

Novak Djokovic is aiming for a 6th title in the Masters tournament to equal Roger Federer’s record and a second big title this year, following Wimbledon, to show the emerging generation that at 35 he is still formidable.
