A market in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk came under fire on the morning of January 21, said the mayor of the annexed city, Alexey Kulemzin.
“Enemy shells fell in a busy place in the Tekstilshchik microdistrict, where shopping arcades and shops are located. According to preliminary information, there are dead and wounded,” Kulemzin wrote.
Head of the annexed DPR Denis Pushilin statedthat, according to preliminary information, at least 13 people were killed and ten more were injured as a result of the strike.
“The market was attacked on Sunday, when it is most crowded. Operational services are working on the spot, information regarding the dead and injured continues to arrive and is being clarified, and a search for fragments of weapons is underway,” Pushilin added.
