Distributors of viruses and Trojans began to disguise malicious software as copies of the Windows 11 operating system. This was reported on the Kaspersky Anti-Virus website.
The developers noted that you can download Windows 11 directly from the Microsoft website, but not all users are aware of this. They find distributions in search engines, and often they come across cybercriminals’ software. When the malware is launched, it goes through a normal installation, similar to the real one. However, after its completion, both ordinary adware programs and Trojans appear on the computer, stealing passwords and other confidential information.
Windows 11 was introduced on June 24th. According to the developers, it will be faster than Windows 10, while taking up less disk space. The new operating system will also receive several features for gamers. Windows 10 users will not be able to upgrade to Windows 11 for free until early 2022.
