Attempted attack on Abha airport.. 8 injuries and damage to a civilian plane

Today, Tuesday, the Saudi defenses intercepted a second booby-trapped drone that tried to attack Abha International Airport.

The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen indicated that there were 8 casualties, according to the initial information of the attempted attack on Abha airport, and shrapnel was scattered.

He also stressed that the efficiency of the air defenses thwarted all the futile attempts of the Houthi militia.

Yesterday evening, Sunday, the coalition announced that the Saudi air defenses had intercepted and destroyed 3 booby-trapped drones launched by the Houthi militia towards Khamis Mushait in the Kingdom.

It is noteworthy that for some time, these militias have continued their attempts to target civilian and economic objects in the Kingdom, in attempts that drew condemnation from several Arab and Western countries, stressing their support for the Kingdom and its security, denouncing the terrorist attacks of the Houthis.

These repeated and escalating Houthi attempts during the last period come at a time when the United Nations is trying to establish a ceasefire in Yemen, in order to re-launch negotiations, in order to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict that has been going on for years.
