Australian Caleb Ewan, very bitter: “I will probably never have another chance to participate in the Worlds in my country”

Five days following his victory in the GP de Fourmies, Caleb Ewan had to settle for second place on Friday at Koolskamp. The Australian lost in the Flanders Championship sprint once morest the Dutchman Fabio Jakobsen.

Ewan nevertheless managed to glean some UCI points, to try to stay in the World Tour: “I took second place. But above all I took very important points for my team in the fight to stay in the WorldTeams. With Arnaud DeLie, it’s regarding being as efficient as possible and taking points in the weeks to come. It may work, but it’s not done yet.

On Sunday, Caleb Ewan will travel once more to the North of France to compete in the GP of Isbergues, before racing the Omloop van het Houtland on Wednesday.
