Skopje – In the non-Olympic whitewater regatta, Austria has won a bronze medal at the European Championships, the first in this sport since 2008 for the domestic canoe association. Nadine Weratschnig and Valentina Kroener only had to admit defeat to France (Margot Beziat and Elsa Gaubert) and Italy (Cecilia and Alice Panato) in the Canadier twos in the sprint.
