The energy transition will cost Austria at least 60 billion euros and will probably bring regarding one of the most important transformation processes in the country’s history. The population welcomes the energy transition and the necessary measures with a large majority. In a survey conducted by Peter Hajek on behalf of Energie AG Oberösterreich, citizens even appear to be tolerant when it comes to the construction of new green electricity power plants. This does not necessarily correspond to practical experience.
