Vienna – The economy, which took off once more following the Corona crisis, is leaving its mark: Austria’s industry pumped significantly more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere once more in 2021. The plants covered by EU certificate trading emitted exhaust gases equivalent to 28.7 million tons of CO2. This was reported by the Austria Press Agency, citing an evaluation of the preliminary data from the EU Commission.
