The last party daily newspaper in Austria, the “Oberösterreichische Volksblatt” of the state ÖVP, is giving up its printed daily edition on Saturday following almost 155 years. According to editor-in-chief Roland Korntner, things will continue online. According to STANDARD information, the federal ÖVP is thinking regarding a new party-related medium – this side of the “Exxpress” led by Richard Schmitt, but more broadly effective than the ÖVP parliamentary club’s “Zur Sache”.
