Av. Gran Colombia will become a historical and heritage promenade in Boconó

Last Saturday, August 10, the mayor of the Boconó municipality, Alejandro García, announced that Gran Colombia Avenue will be declared a cultural heritage site to become a historical and commercial promenadewhere the facades of houses and businesses are restored and serve as a tourist attraction in the Garden of Venezuela.

The aim is to highlight the commercial activity of distinguished residents of Boconó who have dedicated their lives to marketing products and services in this area of Boconó.

Furthermore, the former Coromoto Clinic, which currently poses a danger to pedestrians and passers-by on this avenue, will be declared a public utility so that the Emanuel Central Baptist Christian Church can carry out its functions.

“The idea is that it will be a walk for locals and tourists. The project is nice and ambitious. But we will do it with support from the three levels of government,” said the mayor.

He also announced that in 20 days he will deliver the first stage of the Komboc Wholesale Market, where there will be booths for selling food and a small square in honor of San Isidro Labrador.
