The SPÖ Landstrasse, Grünen Landstrasse and LINKS/KPÖ Landstrasse stop on March 8th. Vigil at Rochusmarkt
Vienna (OTS/SPW) – The district organizations of the SPÖ Landstraße, the Grüne Landstraße and the LINKS/KPÖ Landstraße are jointly calling for participation in a vigil to commemorate the tragic loss of a woman and a girl on February 23rd in Vienna-Landstraße . These gruesome murders are part of an alarming series of seven femicides already recorded in 2024.
The vigil on March 8th at Rochusmarkt offers an opportunity for mourning in solidarity and collective resistance once morest violence once morest women. It is time to send a clear message and show that these actions cannot go unnoticed.
The event is a non-partisan initiative highlighting the urgent need to improve protection for women from violence. Every woman affected is one too many and it is our collective responsibility to work for a fairer and safer society.
