Prague/Budapest – The opposition Ano movement led by former prime minister and billionaire Andrej Babiš achieved success in the partial Senate elections in the Czech Republic. Ano won the vote in eight constituencies and will thus improve her previously very weak position in the second chamber of parliament. However, the five-party government coalition led by conservative (ODS) Prime Minister Petr Fiala still holds a comfortable majority in the second chamber of parliament.
