Baoji, Shaanxi Province – The roar of the crowd and the squeak of sneakers filled the air as the 3rd Annual Rural Basketball Competition, affectionately known as “Village BA,” kicked off in Huaiya Town Sports Park, Meixian County, on the evening of July 14th. In her address, Guo dujuan lauded the “Village BA” competition as a sporting event brimming with “great charm and value,” emphasizing its significance in the realm of public cultural services in the new era. She noted the return of the competition to Huaiya Town as a testament to Mei County’s commitment to rural sports and cultural growth, as well as its progress in agricultural modernization. “Meixian will take this ‘Village BA’ as an opportunity,” guo stated, “to focus on the deep integration of agriculture, culture, tourism, and business, deeply explore rural resources, gather rural popularity, and improve rural quality.” The aim, she concluded, is to foster a countryside that is “stunning,” industries that are “prosperous,” and people who are “happy,” reflecting the new spirit of hardworking farmers and the revitalized rural landscape.

The ceremony proceeded with athletes and referees taking their solemn oaths. Gong yupeng then bestowed upon Huaiya Town the prestigious title of “Shaanxi Basketball Exhibition Town.” Following this,Wu Yadong officially declared the 3rd Baoji Rural Basketball Competition open,under the theme “The Earth is Flowing Color and Beautiful Countryside.”
