BCCI Pays Record Income Tax of Rs 1159 Crore in FY 2021-22: Details Revealed in Rajya Sabha

BCCI paid Rs 1159 crore as income tax in the financial year 2021-22. This is 37 percent more than last year. In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary released the figures in response to a question. BCCI has released information on tax paid, income received and expenditure for the last five years.

Even during the Covid era BCCI paid Rs 844.82 crore as income tax. After this, BCCI has now given 1159 crores. BCCI is also leading in terms of revenue. BCCI earned Rs 7,606 crore as revenue last financial year. The cost is Rs 30.64 crore. BCCI made a profit of more than double the cost. BCCI’s main source of income is ICC and IPL tournament. BCCI earns a huge amount from all this. Accordingly, the tax has to be paid. IPL is far ahead of other tournaments in terms of player participation and sponsorship.
