Before his arrival at Manchester United .. Ten Hag threatens Cristiano Ronaldo with a stern message

Ajax Amsterdam coach Erik Ten Hag sent a threatening letter to Cristiano Ronaldo, before taking over the English team.

Ten Hag is expected to coach Manchester United from next season, with a contract until the summer of 2025, with an option to extend for another year.

In his first statements following taking over as United coach, Ten Hag sent a warning message to Ronaldo that no player has any immunity from criticism in the team, whatever his name.

“I think I can deal with Cristiano Ronaldo,” Ten Hag said, according to the Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf.

He added: “But I will remain as I am, I will not change my vision, I will tell any player of his mission and whoever does not fulfill these tasks will hear it from me, regardless of who he is.”

And he added, “I have a clear vision that I present to the club that I will coach, and if I do not find any response, I will not accept the job. I am responsible. I will be judged by the results.”

And he concluded: “I think that with my assumption of responsibility, I made Ajax play the Ajax way, with the intention always to play well, to play well, and with adventure as well, there is a winning mentality that I always want to have.”
