Lagunillas Police officials apprehended the mother of a one-year-old and 10-month-old boy who died of malnutrition in Ciudad Ojeda, Zulia state.
The person involved in this case responds to the name of ME Guasamucaro Quintero, 31 years old, reported Alertas 24.
The woman’s arrest took place in the followingnoon in the Pediatric Ward of the Pedro García Clara Hospital following the medical staff and the authorities of the Protection Council reported the minor’s clinical case to the 43rd Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
According to the medical report, the minor was taken to the health center by his dehydrated mother, with pale skin, ulcerative lesions on the genitals and difficulty breathing.
Shortly following the mother was arrested, the infant died.
