The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus has added 23 more people to the “list of citizens involved in extremist activities”.

The list, in particular, includes the founders of the sports solidarity fund Alexander Gerasimenya and Alexander Opeykin, the head of the Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions Alexander Yaroshuk, his deputy Sergei Antusevich and accountant Irina But-Gusaim.

The list of “extremists” according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus includes 2,735 people.

Alexandra Herasimenia and Alexander Opeikin became the first Belarusians who were convicted in absentia by the Belarusian authorities and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
