Ben Brereton Díaz Joins Villarreal: Chilean Striker’s Transfer and Debut in Spanish League

After a long time of rumors and negotiations, finally the Chilean striker Ben Brereton Díaz became a new Villarreal player and will play next season in the Spanish League.

The 24-year-old Chilean striker signed a four-year contract and arrives as a free agent following defending the colors of Blackburn Rovers where he was a figure for the last two years.

“Brereton will pass the pertinent medical tests from July 5 along with the rest of his teammates at the José Manuel Llaneza Sports City. and will complete the first training session as a Villarreal footballer on July 8 under the orders of Quique Setién”, reported the yellow box.

The club presented Brereton by highlighting his time in La Roja: “At only 24 years old, he is international and has played a total of 20 games with the Chilean National Team, scoring a total of seven goals,” he said.

Remember that Villarreal comes from finishing fifth in the Spanish League, which will allow Brereton to have its international debut at club level in the Europa League.
