INDIANAPOLIS — Drury University’s standout juniors Bergum and Alvaro Zornoza swept the GLVC Athletes of the Week award in swimming and diving after a defining weekend against NCAA Division I Missouri State.
Bergum, a Skedsmokorset, norway native, delivered two individual victories in the 100 and 200 breaststroke to help the Panthers split the home-and-home series with the Bears. She clocked a personal-best 1:01.94 in the 100 breast on Friday and added a second-place finish in the 400 IM (4:29.66). on Saturday, Bergum triumphed in the 200 breast with a 2:16.10, adding a second-place showing in the 200 IM (2:04.27).
