The President of the Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation on Saturday evening. According to the former’s tweet, they discussed “Swiss humanitarian aid and concrete options on how Switzerland might contribute to the return to peace with its good offices”.
The Ukrainian authorities also officially mentioned this meeting on Twitter: “We discussed the preparations for the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine and Switzerland’s role as mediator in the provision of consular services to Ukrainians in Russia”.
