“The first pride was to obtain the market and the second will be to see our chairs in the nave of Notre-Dame de Paris (4th arrondissement), enthuses Alain Bastiat, director of the house of the same name. It’s extraordinary to think that, every year, the cathedral receives 15 million visitors and that they will sit on the chairs that we make here in this workshop. We have the feeling of participating in the rebirth of a treasure of our national heritage…”

Sylvain, his son, shares the same happiness and explains that nothing was left to chance in the manufacturing: “This chair is 100% made in France and almost 100% Landes. The solid oak comes from the forests of Sologne (between Loir-et-Cher, Cher and Loiret)but everything else is made in the department. It takes about half a day to finish a chair and make it perfectly smooth. »
