Biden: evidence of Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile in Poland

After the rocket hit in eastern Poland with two dead, there are indications that the projectile is an anti-aircraft missile from Ukraine. This was announced today by US President Joe Biden at a meeting with other heads of state and government from NATO and G7 countries in Bali, according to dpa information. He is said to have spoken of a missile from the S-300 system.

Biden had previously said the missile was unlikely to have been launched from Russia. There is corresponding information regarding the trajectory that contradicts this, he said. “I’ll make sure we find out exactly what happened.”

The Russian government denied having fired on targets in the Ukrainian-Polish border area and spoke of a targeted provocation.
