Biden intervenes in the anti-hijab issue; Iran expressed displeasure Joe Biden interfered in state matters by supporting anti-hijab ‘riots’: Iran

Tehran: Iran has expressed its displeasure with US President Joe Biden for interfering in the internal affairs of the country on the hijab issue. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said the US administration is trying to incite unrest in the country.

US President Joe Biden recently announced his support for the nationwide anti-hijab protests. This angered Iran.

Biden had expressed his support for the ongoing anti-government protests in the country to protest the death of Mehsa Amini, who was killed in police custody on September 16. Biden said he was amazed by the courage of the people protesting.

The country is going through the biggest protests since the 1979 revolution. Some are clamoring for the life of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
