A video shows the reaction of a bodyguard to the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, when he noticed a silver cylinder that appeared to be thrown in Kishida’s direction at an election event in Wakayama.
The bodyguard quickly got her out of the way and then kind of used it as a shield device, trying to keep the prime minister safe.
In a press interview, Kishida addressed the issue of security in Japan, saying, “For event schedules such as the G7 summit, where dignitaries from all over the world gather, I believe that Japan nationwide will have to work together to make every effort to provide security and safety.”
