Bolzano – The final series of the ICE Hockey League started with what was expected to be a close duel. EC Red Bull Salzburg, who are already Austrian champions, were beaten 1-0 by HCB Südtirol, winners of the regular season. Christian Thomas scored the only goal in Bolzano in the first third (14th). Game two of the “best of seven” series will take place on Saturday (7.30 p.m./live Puls24) in Salzburg.
