During the night of this Thursday to Friday, around midnight, shots were fired near Bonnevie Park in Molenbeek, the Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office confirms. One person was injured and taken to hospital for treatment. The victim’s life is not in danger.
However, we are told that a stray bullet ended up in a child’s bedroom, which the Prosecutor’s Office cannot confirm at this time.
A judicial exclusion perimeter was set up in order to preserve traces useful for the investigation. Informed of the facts, the deputy of the King’s prosecutor ordered the first investigative tasks, in particular the camera investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and the Prosecutor’s Office therefore refuses to make further comments.
