2023-06-09 00:32:02

King Fahd Medical City reviewed the symptoms of “brain cancer” in children and methods of treatment and prevention.

The city explained that brain cancer in children is the growth of abnormal cells in the child’s brain or tissues close to it, and is one of the most common types of cancer among children.

She pointed out that the symptoms of the disease include frequent headaches, increased pressure in the head, nausea, and vision problems, indicating that it can be prevented by avoiding excessive exposure of the child to radiation, raising the child’s immunity with healthy nutrition, and following up with the doctor if the child suffers from a syndrome or genetic defect.

She noted that the treatment of brain cancer in children depends on the type, size, location, age and health of the child, and can be treated with surgery, rehabilitation, targeted drug therapy, chemotherapy and radiation.
