It was in the pipeline, it’s now official. Arrived at the end of the contract in Toulouse, Branco Van den Boomen has signed up, free, for four years with Ajax Amsterdam, i.e. until June 2027. Aged 27, the midfielder thus finds his training club, with whom he has never played pro.
Van den Boomen joined the Pink City in 2020 from De Graafschap for 350,000 euros. He played 120 matches in all competitions for the TFC, for 23 goals and 43 assists. He won the Ligue 2 title in 2022 following a rich season (12 goals and 20 assists in 37 Championship matches) and the Coupe de France in 2023 (5-1 once morest Nantes in the final).
