Christophe Lacroix, deputy and mayor of Wanze (PS) and former budget minister, announced that he was suffering from cancer of the tongue in a video posted on social networks, relayed this Friday Sudinfo. It is through a strong message that the politician delivered on his state of health and his treatment to follow.

A message that he publishes on the eve of the Wallonia festivities where the mayor was expected at a rally organized in Wanze, in the Liège region. Festivities in which he will not be able to participate this year because of his cancer.

Diagnosed in June, Christophe Lacroix reassures: his cancer is curable and the treatment works. “I’m in the home stretch, an additional motivation. Despite my desire to continue working, the time for rest has come. In agreement with the Municipal College, I entrusted the function of Mayor to my friend Bernard Lhonnay for a month, in complete confidence.

Less present, the mayor assures that he will return soon.
