Argentine club Boca Juniors has signed a contract with Uruguayan legend Edinson Cavani. The club have signed the 36-year-old striker on an 18-month contract. Earlier, the Spanish team Valencia announced that the contract with Cavani had been terminated.
The club itself announced this by sharing a picture of the number 10 jersey with the name of the Uruguayan player on social media. A highlight reel of Cavani’s career has also been posted. Boca Juniors also noted that they are happy to include the star in the club.
Cavani is struggling with muscle injuries. The star, who joined Manchester United in 2020, failed to hit form and moved to Valencia on a free transfer two years later. The player has played only 28 matches for Valencia and scored seven goals. The striker’s contract, which was due to expire next year, was terminated by mutual consent.
