Taif ∙ The Ministry of Defense has announced that two army officers have been sentenced to death in Taif for treason.
Lt. Colonel Pilot Majid bin Musa Awad Al-Balawi and Chief Sergeant Yusuf bin Reda Hassan Al Asouni were sentenced to death.
The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the death penalty was imposed in cases of proven military crimes. Investigations revealed that both had committed the crime of military treason and failed to protect national interests.
