Manchester United have agreed to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, nicknamed “Star Boy”, for 55 million pounds ($69 million).
Thursday’s agreement was confirmed by two sources familiar with the ongoing negotiations since the end of the Premier League season, and they spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement had not yet been announced.
The contract is for five years, with an option for a further 12 months.
United will also have to pay 5 million pounds ($6.3 million) when certain targets in the contract are met.
