A local governor said that two civilians were killed as a result of Ukrainian shelling on a village in the Russian Bryansk region on Saturday evening.
“According to preliminary information, a residential building was completely destroyed and two other houses damaged… Emergency services are continuing to work at the scene,” Governor Aleksandr Bogumaz said on the Telegram messaging app.“.
Ukraine almost never claims responsibility for attacks inside Russia and on Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine.
Both sides deny targeting civilians in the 14-month-old Ukrainian war.
