Breitling announces its partnership with Australian lifestyle brand Deus Ex Machina, which is the inspiration for the Breitling Top Time Deus, a robust model with a retro look for men and women looking for adventure in their everyday lives.
The Top Time Deus chronograph was designed in collaboration with Deus Ex Machina, with a nod to the original Breitling model from the 1960s and as a tribute to the nomadic lifestyle. The assignment for the design of the first Top Time was clear: to meet the needs of “young dynamic active people” with a series of “ultra-modern chronographs”. The retro slant gives the current edition a timeless look. The point is not to chronometer time, but to widen it when the call of adventure sounds.
With this new partnership, Breitling will also become the new official timekeeper of the Deus Swank Rally, the famous vintage motorcycle enduro that takes place around the world, including Italy, France, Australia and Bali. But the Top Time Deus Limited Edition is not just for bikers, explains Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling: “Bikers, skateboarders, surfers, digital nomads… It is a watch for dynamic characters who love action and style and who admit a goal. Our multifunctional Top Time Deus is all about the freedom to explore the world in your own way and at your own pace. ”
The new trio of Breitling’s Deus Squad includes Hawaiian pro surf star Sierra Lerback, French engineer and motorcycle builder Jeremy Tagand and Forrest Minchinton, passionate California surfer and motorcyclist. All three have been closely associated with Deus Ex Machina for years; they are part of the DNA of the robust, bold brand. Breitling is very happy to have them on board for the launch of a timepiece that radiates their unconstrained attitude to life.
Only 1500 copies will be available on the market at www.breitling.com.
