LONDON – Ivan Toney has been banned for eight months for breaching the FA’s betting rules on more than 200 occasions. The 27-year-old attacker from Premier League club Brentford has also been fined £50,000 (€57,512) by the FA and given a warning. However, Toney is allowed to return to training at his club four months before the ban expires, it said in an FA statement on Wednesday.
