Lucknow: BJP MP and former president of wrestling federation Brij Bhushan Singh said that he will contest from Kaisarganj in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He said that the government will be formed next year with a majority. Brij Bhushan’s remarks were made while participating in a rally in Uttar Pradesh. Brij Bhushan participated in the rally by singing songs and glorifying Narendra Modi.

NDTV reported that Brij Bhushan said that Indian territories were lost during the Congress rule and if Modi was in power then they would not have been lost.

78,000 square kilometers of Indian land was annexed by Pakistan during the Congress rule when Nehru was Prime Minister. In 1962, China invaded India. 33,000 square kilometers of land is still occupied. In 1972, India captured 92,000 Pakistani prisoners of war. It was an opportunity to buy back the land occupied by Pakistan. A strong chief minister would have held it back. If it was Modi, he would have definitely taken it back,’ he said.

Singh praised the Prime Minister for the Kashmir decision, construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and road construction.

Earlier, Brij Bhushan’s Jan Chetna Maharali was slated for June 5. But it was later postponed due to security reasons.

At the same time, the wrestlers said on Saturday that he used his influence to pressure the wrestlers who were victims of sexual harassment and to force them to change their statements. The actors also informed that if action is not taken once morest Brij Bhushan by June 15, the strike will resume.

The players temporarily suspended their strike as they were assured that the Delhi Police would file a charge sheet on June 15. Actors including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia had protested demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan in the sexual harassment complaint.
